Value Based Leadership: Organizations’ Invisible Guiding Hand

The importance of value-based leadership is even more critical in times of crisis.

These are such times. Our ecosystem impacted by the global flu and its ongoing subsequent iterations is turbulent and disruptive. This situation is exacerbated as we integrate into this new industrial age.

I was struck by this short video that in less than four minutes the essence of this concept was delivered.

Your organization’s values and your values are the invisible guiding hands that you rely upon to remain true to who you are. Organizations must nurture and assist all “citizens of the organization” to identify and inculcate what values are important to them and to the organization. This foundation is the sine qua non – the essential condition for decision-making in today’s disruptive ecosystem.

I think you’ll enjoy this video made by to my colleagues:  In my video this week I speak with School of Leadership Associate Prof. Kathy Bishop about values-based leadership.
